GOALS
In 1900 there were 30,000 Brass Bands in Britain. Today there are little over 2000 left. It would be such a shame if the remaining were to dwindle further. Umbrella Photography regularly attend many of the major Brass Band competitions.
Our aim is to capture the atmosphere of these events and convey in our photos some of the excitement and enthusiasm which comes across in the performances. We archive all our photographs on this website so that it can act as an accessible record of previous events and we hope, contribute in some way to the preservation of this part of Britain's impressive musical heritage.
